Do you provide guidance on apostilles and document legalisation?
Yes. In some cases, documents that need to be translated (either into or from Spanish) must first be apostilled before translation. In addition, for translations intended for use abroad, legalisation of the sworn translation may sometimes be required. At Transjurada, we provide guidance for both processes.
Sworn translation, official translation, and certified translation: are they the same or are there differences?
In Spain, the terms sworn translation, official translation, and certified translation are often used interchangeably to refer to the same service. The correct term is sworn translation, performed by a sworn translator accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC). However, “official” and “certified” are commonly used interchangeably.
